About Ying Shan

Ying Shan was born and raised in Taiwan with strong Tradition Chinese Medical (TCM) background.  Being raised  as an apprentice of TCM, she has been educated concepts of acupuncture and Chinese herbs as a family tradition when growing up.  She was raised with the concept of "A doctor should think herself as the parent of her patients" This mind set establishes her a kinder-hearted healer.  The thought of treating her patients as her own children make her healing more effective in the way that her patients trust and enjoy divulging to her which make the treatment more effective, thus the body's healing process is enhanced and speed fasten.  Feeling safe telling Ying Shan all they have experienced in life and their emotions are a big leap of faith for many patients.  She has a friendly and kind nature that make strangers connect to her faster and a personality that is very down to earth.  She is the kind of clinician that you feel you have know her for a while even though you have just met her the first time. This very relaxing environment she builds around her makes her healing very powerful.

Deeply involved in the monastery where she learned her meditation from, she had volunteered on behalf of it to go to the countryside to treat farmers who could not afford regular treatments.  She had followed her acupuncture masters in the countryside and was pre-exposed to many concept of the human physiology in terms of TCM and formations of diseases and effective treatments during that period of her life before she registered at school for formal education of TCM.  Gaining quite a long time of direct contact with patient and learning the communication, diagnosis and treatment of diseases truly helped her in school where she learned the foundation of theory and had a lot of missing links patched up and experiences categorized in structure.  She had extensive practiced in acupuncture needling techniques from different schools of thought and deep understanding of what they do and how the patients will feel at points of insertion.   All these pre-master program trainings truly make Ying Shan a clinician of healing.

Our Missions

Being a clinician is more than treating diseases; there is a sense of community, belonging and purpose.  Our clinic aims to educate people in disease prevention through food therapy consultation and changing of life styles.  All these are not difficult but takes persistence and endurance, and we are here to assist and encourage you through this transition.  Our treatments focus more on our patients than their diseases.  We love to understand you and your needs in maintaining or regain health.  Going through difficulties alone is not easy, with our  and helping hands, we will achieve optimal health together.

TCM emphasizes tremendously on disease prevention because the ancient healers believed that once body is ill, the recovery rate is never one hundred percent which leads to the process of aging.  In addition, one ailment leads to another because the body is a network that all parts are closely connected and related.  This declining of recovery rate causes aging.  By the prevention of declining  we prevent aging and live a life full of zest.

We believe in the holistic approach of taking care of health according to seasons.  As humans are part of the universe and we are under the influence of the cosmic events.  Therefore, boosting energy for spring, prevent summer heat before it comes, keep immune system strong during the changing to autumn or prepare body for severe winter condition is part of our practice.  We can help you optimize and balance your condition and prepare you for the ever-changing season.
