Be Persistent

Sometimes acupuncture treatment can be not as effective as I expect it to be. I just have to change accordingly and be persistent about it. I had a case this week that was unique but not that unique. I thought my patient was in good hand because I had so much experience in this pathology. As usual, I did my thing and left the room for her to rest and came back for a triumph. But NO. She told me the pain is still there. There was a little improvement but not that much. WHAT A SHOCK, right? How can a case so simple and be proved so many times be NOT EFFECTIVE!!! Well, this acupuncture physician sure is persistent and witty. I immediately thought of something else, Master Tung point - Shen Guan. Stuck the needles in, manipulated. Proudly I told her, "move your shoulder" and voila - magic had been performed. I was glad that I tried and resolved it instead of letting her go with residue on her shoulder. Sometimes takes a little more time in treatment plan and be persistent really pay off.
